I have trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma-Focused CBT, Gestalt Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Treatment for Sexually Maladaptive Youth, Substance Abuse and Addictions, Play Therapy and Theraplay®, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR). I have produced publications and provided presentations in state professional conferences, churches, community centers and symposia.

I identify with Humanistic, Person-Centered, Existential, Insight-Oriented, Interpersonal, Postmodern, and Integrative theoretical frameworks. I am a strong advocate for ethical practice, interdisciplinary approaches, cultural diversity, and social justice.

Depending on clients’ needs, in my practice I incorporate elements of spirituality, and a sincere appreciation for all types of diversity and life experiences. I am also fluent in Spanish.
